April Happy Thoughts

1. The new additions to our family:

Once upon a time we had four fish: Ursula, Doug II, Lobster II, and Gus Gus.  Recently Lobster and Gus Gus passed away.  This past week I took Kensie to the pet store to replenish our little family.  I would like to introduce to you  our new guppy, Jaguar aka "Rose the Bright" (yes, it is a boy) and our little albino catfish Lobster III aka "Dad".  Needless to say, Kensie and I did not exactly see eye to eye on the new names.

2. Cafe Rio Pork Salad: one word says it all, HEAVEN!  I was also introduced to one of Cafe Rio's desserts this month, Tres Leches... holy cow... AMAZING!

3. "Continue in Patience" by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf:

This is a talk that really helps me out whenever I get antsy with life. It has helped me many times, I hope it will do the same for you.

4. Conference: Since I am already talking about church I might as well continue.  Conference was wonderful this month.  I had to work through the last two conference weekends so it was nice actually being able to watch it.

5. Spell check:  I am so grateful to live in a world where spell check exists... I can't spell worth a darn!  Technology and I don't usually get along, to be honest I think I was born in the wrong century because I am far from tech savvy.  But I will always be grateful for spell check!

6. Life: Life is good.  I am content.  That is all.

7. Reminiscing:

I recently went through a box of old photos from my high school days.  Good times.

8. SPRING SPRING SPRING!!!

Spring has taken it's time, but it is finally coming/here!  I love the rain, the flowers, the birds chirping, the warmer weather (that occurs occasionally).  I like being able to be outside and take Kensie to the park.  Ok, it is true that we have had way too many snow storms this month but I am hopeful that this is the end and it will start warming up.  And then guess what that means??? SUMMER!!!  Would you like me to list everything about summer that I like?  Maybe I will save that for next  months happy thoughts :-)

9. Family:  I have the best family.  I rarely let them now how much I appreciate them.  Despite how highly dysfunctional we are, I love them very much.  I love immediate family, extended family, step-family... pretty much everyone.  Thanks for being so wonderful.  You all have been there for me through thick and thin.
