1. Kensie's Preschool Graduation:
Kensie sang this awesome solo. During the first verse she was too infatuated with watching herself in the mirror. The second verse is adorable... Do you think my child may be tone deaf??? Ha ha!
2. Health: Some of the things I see at work breaks my heart and makes me so grateful for my health and especially for Kensie's health. I cannot imagine having something happen to a child like some of the things I have seen at work. This is actually a sad thought but it truly makes me grateful for what we do have.
3. Arm & Hammer toothpaste:
Most people I talk to hate this toothpaste and I promise I am not exaggerating when I tell you how much I love it. Silly I know, but true. This is truly a happy thought :-)
4. My book:
Over a year ago my world was crushed and I was forced to pull the pieces of what was left of me back together. My wonderful sister who stood by my side and who held me through some of the darkest moments decided to create this book to remind me who I am. She contacted all of my close family and friends who love me and had them write about me. Even today, reading through this book brings tears to my eyes of the overwhelming love I feel from each and everyone of you who contributed to this book. Back then I was not in any state of mind to thank you for the words you wrote but I would like to thank you now. I will always cherish this book and truly appreciate each and everyone of you. I know I am loved.
5. A place to call home:
I have moved about ten times in the past ten years. YIKES! A year ago I moved into my cute little town home and I am loving it even more than I did back then. It is home. I just signed a new lease and they did not raise the rent! Although I am renting and not a home owner I am still happy to have a place to call home that actually feels like a home. It is my sanctuary :-)
For those skeptics that do not believe my moving statistic allow me to prove it. My first move started exactly ten years ago when I was 16 years old: 1) Layton home to Quail Cove (the ghetto), 2) The ghetto to Oakstone, 3) Oakstone to Snow College, 4) Snow College to Prove for the summer of 2004, 5) Provo to Clearfield, 6) Clearfield to South Jordan, 7) South Jordan to Eagle Mountain 8) Eagle Mountain to Layton, 9) Layton to Salt Lake City, 10) Salt Lake City to Draper, my current HOME.
Don't worry, I don't expect you to read all of that. Let it be said however that I need some stability in my life. Now I am finally getting a chance to create that stability. Here is to another year in my home.
6. The Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point:
Pretty flowers make me happy! Look at the pretty picture I took (obviously the top one) :-)
7. The Hunger Games:
One word: OBSESSED!!! I am just starting the third book in the trilogy, so good!!!!
8. Walnut Shrimp from Asian Star: I highly recommend it. Delicious.
9. The Bachelorette: It has begun once again. What can I say, I love mindless entertainment. Why do the crazy people always have to be from Utah???
10.
"Happiness is not having what you want,
but wanting what you have."
but wanting what you have."

Oh Oh! I want to try Asian Star, I have never been there but it looks DELICIOUS. Yum.
ReplyDeleteI moved 10 times by the time I turned 16. Including a move during my senior year of high school. Blech.
Asian Star is delicious, a little on the expensive side but it is worth it!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I'm enjoying the Bachelorette this time more than I thought I would. And the video of Kensie is adorable. Rachel asked about her the other day again.
